As children’s pastor at Heritage Church, I’m grateful to be a part of an amazing team of adult and youth volunteers who recognize the eternal value of pouring into our kids’ lives. Our team is passionate about our kids BECOMING REAL DISCIPLES. In fact, that’s our kids ministry vision.  And we’re committed to doing whatever it takes for our kids to discover and embrace the adventure of BECOMING A REAL DISCIPLE.

Our focus in kids ministry this year is HERE AND NOW.  We  don’t believe God is sitting around waiting for kids to grow up before He hangs out with them. He longs to be best friends with kids HERE AND NOW. And God isn’t thinking that kids are too young to really “get it” about His Word. He desires that His Word be alive and powerful in kids’ lives HERE AND NOW. God isn’t discounting kids as too young to “really do something for His Kingdom”. He envisions kids making major Kingdom impact HERE AND NOW.

Our Powerful, Passsionate, Holy God is raising up THIS GENERATION OF KIDS to run into relationship with Him, to treasure the truths of His Word, to encourage one another in friendship, and to boldly impact their world HERE AND NOW.

Kids ministry weekly programming for PreK-5th grade includes Sunday morning Lifetouch classes, PreK and Kids Worship Services, Sunday night CareForce.

Welcome to the Heritage Community! As the Worship Pastor, it is my heart and my passion to create an environment where people are given the chance to come in contact with the living God through the gift of music. Worship is a doorway to the heart of God. I believe that in His presence no mountain is too big, no valley is too deep. God can touch you wherever you are.

The scripture says that He inhabits the praises of His people. He can’t help himself; when people begin to praise Him, He draws near! Paul and Silas were in the prison dungeon locked in chains (bound down), and they began to sing praises to the King! The scripture says in Acts 16:25-26, “At midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. There is liberating power in the atmosphere of praise!

I am so excited to be a part of an amazing team at Heritage, where we believe that every member has a part to play in the building up of the body. As pastor of pastoral care, it is my privilege to reach out and care for those who are in their most desperate times of need, whether it is through a time of mourning the loss of a loved one, sickness or just homebound or in a nursing home. This ministry is so much more than one person can possibly do and be effective and so I am very thankful to God first for His mighty provision, for our pastors, pastoral care team members, meals of healing teams and leadership team that plays a part in reaching out and caring for those who are hurting. May the joy of the Lord always be our strength, because no matter how far low we find ourselves there is a Mighty God who is able to reach down and pick us up, dust us off and set our feet to dancing again.
