Some prerequisites to leading a small group at Heritage Church are:

• Membership
• References
• Background check
• Signed Honor Code

• Enthusiastically invite friends
• Communicate group details (resources, childcare, location, time, etc.)
• Go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome
• Equip everyone with materials and confirm the best way to receive correspondences

• Consistently pray for group members
• Practice ESPN: Encouragement, Scripture, Prayer, & Next Steps
• If possible, share a meal together at least once during the semester
• Raise the value of listening well
• Consider ways to bless your group members (call, text, note, etc.)
• Provide your group roster several weeks into the semester (we will contact you)
