Q2 2023:  April - June

SUNDAY SUPPORT

Baptism
Our Baptism Team celebrated 7 baptisms this quarter!  It's amazing to see God working and moving in our midst.

Team Bonding
In April, the team had a fun time in fellowship at BINGO night! We really enjoyed laughing and competing together. In May, we prayed with our team member Katie Norman as she headed to serve at FFA/FCCLA camp in Covington. She is doing well and will return in a few weeks.

Partnering and Training
Sunday Support is planning to partner with other ministries in our church to serve the Colquitt County Packers this fall. Safety Team is dreaming and hoping to begin training on how to provide a complete safety solution that reflects the need for a safe campus, while still allowing the church to share the love of Jesus Christ with open arms.

What's Next
When it comes to connecting our people to what's going on at Heritage, we are still working toward a central location for members to get information and visitors to connect.

DISCIPLESHIP PATHWAY

Discovering A New Experience
This quarter 18 people attended Discover Heritage. Nine have been connected, and out of those nine, five have become or want to become members.  The Discover Team spent the summer creating an updated Discover Heritage experience that we hope will make the class more interactive, fun and tailored to the needs of those attending.  We hope to start the fall with a new experience for Discover Heritage participants!

Helping People Feel Seen And Loved
David Beverly attended Discover Heritage in the fall. He came in feeling unseen and rejected. The team welcomed him and listened to his story. After completing DH, he was connected with Mr. Don and the Usher Team and was welcomed with open arms. David has served every Sunday since then. He says, "I just want to say thank you for accepting me and making me feel wanted and comfortable." David will be baptized next quarter and we are excited to see what God does in his life.

BREATHE

New Families
We have 3 new families who started attending Breathe this quarter!  We've been building the Breathe team and working on assisting families with back to school.  Often families with special needs feel they are on their own, and we're glad to lend a hand.

A Place To Belong
We have a new mom who started attending this quarter, and she said that she looks forward to Sunday every week because she knows her child has a place to belong and she will be able to receive much needed ministry.

Respite
We're really excited to announce that Respite is coming up soon!   It's a great way to give special needs families a break while we experience fun and games.  We can’t wait!

COMMUNICATIONS

Legends, Events, and More
Our second quarter was marked by focusing our efforts on filming, editing and preparing for the upcoming Legends series.  We were also able to support many church events both large and small including:  Mother's Day, Father's Day, Storehouse Sales, Baptism Sundays, Night of Prayer, Fam Jam, 5th Grade Moving Up, Graduation Dinner, Tim Hawkins and The Gathering for Her.  We were able to squeeze in a few meaningful videos that captured our heart for Missions and Next Gen Ministry.

Planning A Visit
A growth step for us was completing a 'Plan Your Visit' process on our website.  Visitors can reach out to our Discover Heritage team through this process before they ever step into the chuch.

Interning - Thanks Karli!
We had our very first Communications Team Intern, Karli Weeks.  She focused on creating social media content for the church and for The Storehouse as well as interviewing various ones in our church family and sharing their testimony.

FINANCIALS

MISSIONS

The Storehouse
The Storehouse has a management team of about 30 people who oversee all the departments of the Storehouse. The Storehouse Management ladies enjoyed a getaway at the Berl’s lakehouse earlier this summer. It was a great time of deepening relationship, problem solving, and dreaming about growth and improvements. We also did a final edit together on our updated Storehouse Volunteer Handbook.

By The Numbers
Our second quarter sales in March, April, and May generated $16,886, $21,405, and $19,612 respectively for a 2nd quarter total of $57,903.
Our YTD total through June 30, 2023 is $122,643. This is $6,349 less than our mid-year total last year which is puzzling as we have more people coming in and more people following us on social media than ever. However, we do feel confident we can make up this deficit the second half of the year.

Relief For Families
The Storehouse relief team served a total of 31 units (individuals or families) in March- June. One of the people we were able to help was a single mom of 3 children from Brooks county. They had lost everything in a house fire and had recently moved to Moultrie to live with the grandmother. We were able to help with some furniture- sleeper sofa, chairs, bedding etc. In addition, we’ve formed a new partnership with a local merchant who supplied her with several mattresses and box springs.  We were able to help another lady who was starting over after fleeing a bad situation by providing a stove and some prayer and encouragement. This lady was so grateful that she came to the next sale to bring the volunteers waters and snacks.

CrossRoads For Her
Just as the CrossRoads guys have been serving with us for several years, the ladies from CrossRoads For Her have begun coming in the Storehouse to serve with us on Thursdays. We’re enjoying getting to know these ladies and appreciate the opportunity to be a part of their journey.

Welcome Home!
The Storehouse team was glad to welcome home our Homegrown Missionaries David and Taylor O’Neal and to host their friends, Sam and Maisy, who are building a school in Ghana. We’re so grateful to have a place to welcome people, hear and encourage their vision and bless them in their Kingdom initiatives.

Peru
Eddie Seagle’s Peru mission was a great success as he and his team spent wonderful time with the children and staff of New Life Children’s home, worked on improvements on the building and grounds, took the children on adventures, built and provided beds for 3 new shanty homes, visited prisons and shared the gospel and deeds of kindness in surrounding villages.

Honduras
So far this year, Johnny Ray has taken four trips to Honduras to improve and expand his water filter projects. We are grateful to be a part of his determined desire to provide clean water for as many rural Honduran communities as possible.

Germany
The Germany team of 28 has been working diligently this summer to prepare for their August 3-13 ministry to the children of workers from all over the world gathering for their international conference.

HERITAGE PRE-K

Not Just Sundays
We are consistently meeting on how to improve our families experience each week. From monthly planning of lessons, crafts, and activities. to engagement of children outside of Sunday a.m.

Playing and Growing
We hope to have a small play area added so that even our smallest littles have a place to play outside and create a monthly environmental team.  We are celebrating four new people joining our team. Jada, Geanna, Abigail, and Payton. All these ladies have jumped right in by using their gifts and  loving our little ones!

Transition
We are in transition of Baby Heritage becoming Pre-K Ministry! Baby Heritage will no longer be called Baby Heritage, but Pre-K Ministry with the transition of Pre-K moving over.  This is still in the works and will be shared with our families soon!

PRAYER

Summer Break
We’re currently taking a summer break from the monthly Night of Prayer but still have our Sunday morning prayer time before 1st service and the prayer room that is available during Sunday services.

Hanging Out
The Prayer Team recently enjoyed a fun dinner out together! We shared lots of laughs and encouragement!

Growing
We’re always looking for more to join our team! We need some prayer warriors to join us as we minister in prayer to those who come to the prayer room during Sunday services.

PASTORAL CARE

By The Months
April - (MOMS) We fed 50 family members who had lost a loved one, connected two in counseling, and 15 people were reached out to or  ministered to who were in crisis.

May - We connected two people to a counselor and helped five people with a crisis in their lives.

June - We helped 21 people who needed prayer, mentoring/discipling or who were in crises.

Prayer Walk
We are seeking the Lord concerning a fall prayer walk in the community. Also, we're recruiting two others who feel called to do deeper level inner healing with deliverance.  We're getting more calls from those who are desperate and there aren’t many people in our church who are trained in this. The need for more laborers in this area is pressing.

As far as the current prayer walk, it was incredible! The last place we were asked to pray over was Hope House and the staff. This was a very sweet time for us all, the Lord is blessing the areas we go into to just pray and believe….it’s boots on the ground warfare!  We're asking for future vision for the next prayer walk mission in Moultrie - we still want to walk PCOM and SRTC.

Deliverance and Freedom
We'd like to develop some type of 6 week mentorship of “staying free” after being delivered. Training in this would be beneficial, so we've been looking online to see if there are some places for this type of training.  The Living In Freedom curriculum we’ve used in the past is a great thing to go through one on one with those who want to continue in freedom,  but the time committed to the material can be lengthy.

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Moving Chairs
We have had several big events in this quarter.  This has caused us to hire many people to move chairs and furniture around to better suit the needs of these events.

Back With Us
Our utility trailer that was stolen earlier this year was located in South Florida so we thankfully have that vehicle back inside our gated area!

Signage Upgrades
After upgrading the signage at entrances to campus we have also added boulders and have plans to add plants and other rocks as the weather cools off.

The Staff Buildings
We have worked the last few months to get the S4 building up to snuff and ready for several staff members to move offices.  This is a slow moving process but we are headed in a good direction.  We are planning to transition Staff 2 building to another spot for small groups to meet in the next few months.

Stormy Weather and Repairs
We have experienced a few storms this quarter and lost a few trees near the pond.  During clean up we also cleaned up another dead tree from the front of our property.  We have also had minor repairs to septic and plumbing at South Venue and repairs to our sprinkler system and main water line at North Campus.

Improvements
Always dreaming of the future, we have received some quotes to better enhance the playground and are dreaming of some South campus exterior improvements.

SUNDAY AM

Lighting Upgrades...Still Going
We are continuing work on sanctuary lighting upgrade. This is a massive project, but it's going according to plan with no hurdles so far.  We just finished prototyping and testing the LED driver PCB (printed circuit board) for the sanctuary lights. The dimming curve is quite excellent.

Storm Damage
Midpoint building recently got a nasty electrical spike from lightning during a storm and it took out every piece of network equipment in the building! Thanks to good network design, the lightning spike stayed isolated to the building and couldn’t travel along wires to wipeout the whole campus.  Whew!

Auditions For The Team
Worship team has a number of people, primarily late teens-early 20’s interested in auditions for the team this fall. Brian is excited to work closely with them on that journey.
