Spend time (days, weeks, or months) truly getting to know candidates, utilizing the following resources:

• Personality: Print or view DISC to discuss
• Personality: Print or view Enneagram resources (incl. link to book)
• Love Language: Print or view 5 Love Language descriptions
• Connecting with God: Print or view Sacred Pathways descriptions
• Finding Purpose in Pain: Print or view Redeeming Heartache summary
• Book Option: Your Destiny His Glory
• Spiritual Health: Use diagram to talk about current relationship with God and next steps
• Coming Soon: Spiritual Gifts resources

Give overview of next steps
• Review/confirm membership (have link available)
• Use link to acquire info for background check & references
• Use link to fill out Honor Code

Have discussion about Team Life placement and next steps
• Review plan for initial training
• Review schedule for ongoing team life small group gatherings, equipping, evaluations, & celebrations
• Consider other resources to include on Team Life page: Bible Reading Plan, Pray First guide, Staff Resources, etc.

If at any point during the onboarding process, it is determined that the candidate needs personal growth before serving on Team Life, work with the candidate to develop a specific plan. Make sure you record the plan with reminders to follow up. Options may include:

• Salvation / Baptism
• 1-on-1 Discipleship
• Freedom
• Specific Small Group
• Counseling (marriage, financial, spiritual, mental, relational, family, etc.)
• Missed step of Discipleship Pathway
